The following Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made at the hotel Domus Maria. Please read them prior to making a booking.
Booking and confirmation. When reserving a room, your name, phone number, address, arrival and departure dates and the method of payment are required. The booking has been confirmed when you have received a reservation confirmation number.
Guaranteed reservation. A credit card guarantee is required for all bookings when confirming the reservation. Please provide your credit card information to guarantee the booking, including the card number, date of expiry and name of the card holder. Customers with an invoicing agreement may guarantee the reservation under their company name. Credit card used for guaranteeing the stay may also be used for charging any incurred costs related to cancelled or no-show reservations.
Personal data. Hotel collects your personal information – name, surname, contact information, other personal information such as age, specific needs and etc., payment method and credit card information to ensure the provision of services requested. The hotel’s Data protection policy and other related information is available on our website.
Payment. In case the reservation has not been paid for in advance, the payment should be made on the arrival to the hotel. All payments must be finalized before the departure. Hotel accepts cash payments in euros as well as credit/debit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro, Mastercard). For certain room rates payment in advance is required – please read the detailed rate information.
Credit cards used for guaranteeing/paying for the stay may also be used by the hotel for charging any incurred costs (damages, non-reported purchases) that were noticed after the guest’s check-out.
Cancellation and no arrival. Cancellation rules vary depending on the rate conditions at which you made your booking. Please read the detailed rate description carefully when making your reservation. Hotel accepts free cancellation up to 24 hours before the date of arrival. In case of non-arrival or late cancellation, the hotel may charge an amount equal to the room rate of the first night’s stay as a no-show fee. If you have chosen a non-refundable room rate, your payment will not be refunded. To cancel your reservation, please notify us by e-mail email@example.com and/or by clicking on the interactive link in your room reservation confirmation letter.
Check-in and check-out. Guests may check-in at any time from 2 p.m. on the scheduled day of arrival. If you arrive before this time, you may leave your bags at the luggage room by the reception until your room is ready. In case you arrive to the hotel on the arrival time agreed, and the hotel room you have reserved is not available, the hotel is liable to arrange you an equivalent room without extra charges. A valid government-issued identification card or passport is required during the check-in. For safety reasons, only checked-in guests are allowed to stay overnight at the hotel.
On the day of departure, the guests must vacate their rooms by 12 noon (unless a late check-out has been agreed upon and confirmed in advance). A late check-out is subject to the hotel’s rooms availability and occupancy level. A half-day room rate is charged for the late check-out between 12 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a full-day room rate – for the late check-out after 4 p.m. The hotel may apply exceptions on the check-in and check-out conditions stated above.
Early departure. In case of an early departure (i.e., before the agreed upon departure day), the guest must inform the hotel latest by 12 p.m. on the preceding day. Otherwise, the guest will be charged for the following night.
Responsibility for your valuables. Valuables can be stored in the safe (if it is available) in your room, or, upon request, in the safe at our reception. However, the hotel is not responsible for the valuables stored in the safe at your room or in the safe at the reception.
Parking at your own risk. The hotel is not responsible for any damage to, or disappearance of vehicles kept in the hotel’s parking area or for any valuables that are inside the vehicles.
Non-smoking policy. All the rooms and other areas of the hotel are strictly non-smoking. Cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes on any other smoking devices are prohibited. A 200 Eur cleaning surcharge will be imposed for any violation of this policy.
Renting hotel rooms for minors. Only a person over the age of 18 is allowed to make a reservation. The adult making a reservation for a person under the age of 18 will be held responsible for the minor – whether the adult stays with the minor or not in the room. A person under 18 travelling alone will need a letter of consent signed by a parent or guardian. The letter must include the minor’s name, birthday, the dates of arrival/departure and the name and contact information of the parent or guardian.
Children policy. Children up to 6 years stay free of charge when they require no additional separate beds. All children under 2 years stay in a crib free of charge. However, cribs are subject to availability (please book in advance). The maximum number of cribs in a room is 1. There is no capacity for extra beds in our rooms.
Pets. Pets are not allowed. A 200 Eur cleaning surcharge will be imposed for any violation of this policy.
Damage and/or theft of the hotel property. The hotel guest is liable for any damage (property damage, missing or damaged items, violation of the non-smoking and no-pets policy, compensation to other guests, etc.) howsoever caused (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act) to the rooms, hotel’s premises or property caused by the guest or any person in his/her party whether or not staying at the hotel during the guest’s stay. The hotel reserves the right to charge the guest to compensate expenses incurred or suffered by the hotel as a result of the aforesaid. The same policy applies to damages which come to light after the guest has departed. The hotel will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum by making every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialist to make the repairs.

Disputes. Disputes regarding improper performance or non-performance of the contract out of court are examined by the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (SCRPA), according to the Law of Consumer Protection of the Republic of Lithuania. Breakfast. The hotel serves French-style breakfast freshly prepared and packaged by a leading local bakery. Our guests are asked to order their breakfast for the following morning from the bakery’s menu while checking-in or any time before 5.30 p.m. The breakfast packages are handed out at the reception, and the guests are guided to our historic refectory (dining room) equipped with free-to-use coffee/tea machines and a microwave heater.
Tranquility. Please respect other guests and do not make excessive noise on the accommodation floors of the hotel at any time. For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, we kindly request noise levels to be kept at a minimum from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Please inform the Front Desk about your visitors who stay in your room after 11 p.m.
Room cleaning. Your room will be cleaned only if you request the service by placing the Please-Clean-My-Room tag on the outward handle of your room door.
Reusing towels. If you leave your towel on the floor, it means – “Please exchange”; If you leave your towel hanging, it means – “I will use again.”
Leaving your room. Please turn off all electrical equipment and lock your room door before you leave.
Found items. The hotel is not responsible for any item left behind by the guest. However, any item, except for perishable items, left behind by our guests and found after departure by the hotel housekeeping will be kept for collection by the owner for up to fourteen days. Reasonable effort will be made to notify the guest that an item was found. Perishable items, underwear and miscellaneous toiletries are discarded.
Alcohol. Guests of legal drinking age (20+) who bring alcoholic beverages can consume those only in their rooms. Alcohol is not allowed in the public areas of the hotel such as the lobby, yard, refectory, etc. During events alcohol can be served by licensed caterers only to those who are 20 years old or older, at the premises designated for the events.
In case of fire or other emergency, please notify our reception immediately (telephone number 200). Fire safety information and evacuation plans are available in each guest room. Please review this important information.
Front desk is operated 24/7. In case of a malfunction in your room or if you have any questions, please contact our reception (telephone number 200).
Changes or modification to the Terms & Conditions and/or House Rules. The Hotel reserves the right to change, modify or add to these Terms & Conditions and/or House Rules any time without prior notice. Please check our website regularly for updates. Any modification that occurs before your departure is considered a part of your reservation’s agreement with us. A copy of these Terms & Conditions and House Rules is made public at our website (https://domusmaria.com/terms-conditions/) and is available from our Front Desk staff upon request.
